The terms that apply when you book home help, gardening or hedge cutting with Home Help Direct. Please read them before your first visit.
Home Help Direct is based in Cannock, Staffordshire and provides practical help with homes and gardens. For enquiries, use the Contact page. The identity of the contracting business and its formal correspondence details must be confirmed before bookings are accepted.
We provide practical and social support at home, including cleaning and housekeeping, shopping and errands, companionship, meal preparation, gardening and hedge cutting.
When you send an enquiry, we will review the service requested and contact you using the details you provide. An enquiry is not a booking. A booking is confirmed only when the tasks, agreed price, date and other arrangements have been confirmed with you.
If you need to change or cancel a visit, please contact us as soon as you can. Any cancellation notice period and charge must be explained and agreed before booking. Your statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
If you book with us online, by phone or away from our premises, you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start within those 14 days and then cancel, you may need to pay for the service provided up to that point.
Hedge work must not damage or destroy active wild-bird nests. Nesting can occur at different times of year. Work may need to be changed or delayed when an active nest is present.
Garden cuttings and waste removal are included only if expressly agreed in the quote. Any waste transported away must be handled and disposed of in accordance with applicable requirements.
Services must be provided with reasonable care and skill under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If you are unhappy with the work, explain the issue through the Contact page so that it can be reviewed. Your statutory rights are unaffected.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
To raise a complaint, use the website Contact page and tell us what happened and how we can reach you. We will discuss the next steps with you.
We use your personal information as described in our privacy policy.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
